Fashion Photography
My work is deeply rooted in themes of womanhood, creating art that is personal to me as a woman through a feminine perspective. I create in both domestic and public spaces, using these settings to explore identity, emotion, and narrative. This frequently involves collaborating with fashion designers whose work celebrates femininity through textiles and form.
My creative process begins through journaling. I typically like to dissect experiences that I go through and the feelings that I have experienced.Whether I am shooting fashion photography or conceptual pieces, when I have an idea I have to immediately sketch out poses and further develop the concept. Sometimes, sound or song will evoke a feeling that I want to capture.I plan the shoot--from choosing the location and selecting models, to directing hair, makeup, wardrobe, and accessories. Styling is one of the most important steps in expressing the essence of the imageI also experiment with different lighting setups beforehand, often arriving on set with a clear plan—though I always leave room for spontaneity. I believe that openness to improvisation can lead to the most powerful and unexpected results.
